  On January 8, 2024, LAUSD Superintendent Alberto Carvalho, Local District (North) Superintendent, Dr. David Baca, & School Board Member (District 3), Scott Schmerelson visited our campus to observe our instructional program and meet with members of our (championship) Girls'YS Basketball Team, Black Student Union & Robotics Team.

• 2:35 Rock Your School Pep Rally Featured

  Carpenter was selected to be the 2024 national focus school for the Rock Your School initiative. This Rock Your School Pep Rally was held on September 23, 2024, and it included appearances by Principal Martinez, Hope & Wade King, Mario Lopez, Kidz Bop, Ninja Kids, Jessie Usher, Titus O'Neil, and Justin Willman. Students were encouraged to dress like a character from the film, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Why Willy Wonka? That film has been selected for Carpenter's upcoming, annual Movie Night.

• 1:29 Host a Swiss Student Video Featured

  Carpenter has had a partnership with the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland since 2010. Each spring we welcome Swiss student teachers for a three-week exchange program that includes these students co-teaching in our classrooms and living with Carpenter families.
